About Us
Jason and Tara met in 1997, when he was an ice cream man and she was a park worker. It was love at first sight and life quickly led them on our journey of creating beautiful, functional, and unique landscapes - In 2017, Environmental Artistry was founded.
Led by Jason, with a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of the natural world, Environmental Artistry's team strives to create harmonious landscapes that seamlessly blend beauty, functionality, and sustainability. Jason's background as a Landscape Account Manager paired with his outstanding creativity and deep connection with the Earth, he is able to approach each project with a unique perspective.
Tara, and her background in Ornamental Horticulture, brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for plants and ecosystems. She has a deep understanding of what it takes to create flourishing gardens that thrive in harmony with the environment.
BLANK SLATE TO BEAUTIFUL OASIS
After purchasing their "blank slate" property in 2005, and taking a leap of faith leaving his job at Marders in 2017, Jason would spend his free time planning and drawing designs for their own yard, wanting their children to grow up surrounded by a vibrant and thriving environment and Tara spent hers bartering her horticulture services for live plants to assist in making their yard a magical paradise..
The next few years they built garden after garden and Tara was led to start her own blog, The Gardening Mom.
After their 3rd child was born, both Jason and Tara realized it was beautiful to watch your children grow up barefoot in a beautiful oasis full of pathways, fresh fruit trees and a freshwater swim pond -- that was built one plant at a time
Turning Dreams to Reality
Jason is a true visionary, with the ability to see something most people could not. He loves curves and color, hills and valleys, their shape, texture, and topography. Jason has a kinship with the earth - like an artist to a canvas, he creates what was in his heart.

The Environmental Artistry team's love for nature, keen eye for design, and watching the beauty of their own family growing up in their custom designed backyard paradise, solidified their belief that that everyone deserves their dream landscape and Environmental Artistry stands firmly behind that belief and helping our community turn their dreams into reality.
